The coastline in the South of England is very pretty. Joel and I were lucky to have visited this World Heritage Site in separate occasions – both geological field trips. The dramatic landscape is truly a ‘must-visit’ for geology enthusiasts.
Here’s Joel with his best pose.
And here’s the hard core geologist dog.
There are also fossils, and preserved dinosaur footprints.
And the nitty-gritty: faults, hanging wall, foot wall, slickensides, etc.
The rugged coast line, the rolling hills of the English country side, the charming B&Bs, and the English pubs to cap long days of field work makes this place well worth the visit.
